Consultant - Program Tech Support Coordinator

Born a CODA, child of deaf adults, Avery developed a strong sense of community interpreting sign language for her mother and friends at an early age. Black, queer, mother of four, and grandmother, she has been supporting the movement to make this country more inclusive for everyone behind the scenes through technology. Avery believes her superpower is her ability to communicate with technology. She became fascinated with computers as a teen, computer installation and setup along with graphic design.

A unicorn of all trades with quick problem-solving abilities, Avery thrives under pressure. An accomplished and motivated executive with years of experience in developing structures and implementing strategies that align with an organization’s goals and needs, she worked her way up the ladder from executive assistant up to  IT director. Able to coordinate activities ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs while leading teams of diverse and dynamic individuals especially in a completely remote environment.

Following in the footsteps of the trailblazing elders around her, Avery dares to be powerful, using her strength in the service of her people and other marginalized communities. She chooses to work with organizations that continue the work in making this country inclusive for everyone. Avery spends her free time with her family, traveling and painting vibrant images under her moniker ColorBlynd by Noni
